Leadership

Rugged Electric was founded in early 2005 by David W. Lee and Karsten P. Isaacson with more than 20 years of experience in Aerospace / Defense industries. It was incorporated as a Limited Liability Company in the State of California, with offices in the Los Angeles area.

Mr. David Warren Lee (PMP, M.S., B.S.), Managing Partner and Chief Consultant of Rugged Electric, is a PMI-certified Project Manager with diverse experience in embedded systems.

Throughout his career, Mr. Lee has provided Systems Engineering and Engineering Management services to major defense contractors like Lockheed Martin and BAE Systems. He and his teams developed flight control systems, engine control systems, targeting systems and digital sensor processing LRUs.

As a process-oriented manager, David regularly involves in Process Improvement activities. He had helped several medium companies tailor and document their engineering processes to become CMMI, PMI and AS9100-compliant.

Mr. Lee holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science. He had previously published a scholarly papers on Computational Linguistics, and a paper on autonomous ground vehicles.

LI&A has teamed up with Rotterdam University to define student projects. Projects will begin in middle of February 2007. The results of the student projects will be directly applied to OSGV. See OSGV.ORG.
